oh! :) In the old computer terminals ">" was used to demarcate a new set of commands. If you look at the Terminal GUI icon on Mac or Ubuntu for example, they still pay homage to this with a ">_" in the top left corner of the GUI. Since the newsletter is called Console, which is another name for a terminal, I chose to also use this symbol as the logo. I hope that answers the question! :)
